Introducing NGauge Forms
NGauge Forms are your interface with any file-based datasource in Infoveave. Any file-based datasource in Infoveave may have its records managed using NGauge forms. Using NGauge forms, you can update or edit the table in a file-based datasource.
Steps to Create an NGauge Form
Access NGauge Form and Select Datasource
Efficiently update your data entries individually or in bulk by selecting the necessary Datasource. This process initiates the direct modification of master data in Infoveave, providing flexibility and precision in data updates.
- To create NGauge form in Infoveave over any existing Datasources, click on Studio NGauge Forms.All NGauge Forms, created by you or shared with you will be displayed under the tabs My NGauge Forms and Shared NGauge Forms respectively.
- To build a fresh form, click on New NGauge Form.
- Select the Datasource you want to use from the drop-down
- Click on the Add button to start configuring the NGauge Form.
Configure NGauge Form
Configure the NGauge form in Infoveave for efficient and personalized data interaction, tailoring its functionality to meet specific data management needs.
- Select the Datasource Table from the table dropdown.
- Provide a name for the NGauge form.
- Choose an icon to represent the NGauge form.
- Check the Read Only checkbox if you want to make the form read-only, restricting user editing.
- Check the Is Advanced checkbox if you want to enable advanced options.
- Check the Load Only When Filters Applied checkbox if you want to load data only when filters are applied. Useful for improving performance when dealing with large datasets.
- Check the After Submit Navigate to Add Screen checkbox if you want to navigate directly to add data, once the NGauge form is saved.
- Select the dimension on which edit is disabled with the Disable Edit On option.
- Select the row editor type from the available options of In-line New Screen, and Pop-up.
- It helps to decide the way new rows can be added to the Datasource.
- Click on Actions to define the NGauge default permissions.
- Check the necessary options you want to offer in the NGauge form.
- Add Check this option to enable users to add new entries to the NGauge form.
- Edit Check this option to allow users to edit existing entries within the NGauge form.
- Delete Enable this option to permit users to delete individual entries from the form.
- Delete All By selecting this option, users gain the ability to delete all entries present in the NGauge form.
- Download Activate this option to provide users with the capability to download associated data or reports.
- Data Upload Select this option to enable users to upload data into the NGauge form from external sources.
- Form Submit Check this option to grant users the ability to submit the form data for further processing.
- Choose a activity or workflow from the dropdown list and click Add to include them in the NGauge form.
- Click Save to save the default permissions.
Customize NGauge Form Layout
Customize the NGauge form layout for creating a user-centric, efficient, and adaptable last mile form that enhances data management, reporting, and overall productivity.
- To customize the NGauge form in Infoveave, follow these steps
- Click on the Customize button on the required NGauge form to access the NGauge designer.In the designer, you will find all the selected columns arranged as a grid.
- Look for desired component (Icon, Shape, Image, Text, Child Form) in the component library.
- Drag and drop these elements onto the canvas.
- Click and drag components to the desired location.
- Pick the component you want to resize.
- Click and drag small circles around the edges or corners of the element to resize it.
- To delete a component, select it on the Designer canvas and click the Delete option.
- Use the Save option to preserve your work, ensuring easy access and future edits.
Create Child NGauge Forms
Child NGauge forms are NGauge form linked to a parent NGauge form, based on a parent-child relationship.
Here are the steps to configure the child NGauge form in Infoveave.
- Create an NGauge from (parent form) with the master Datasource in Infoveave.
- Identify and assign a field as a key column in the parent NGauge form, when configuring the parent NGauge from.This identifier can be unique field associated with the parent form.The assigned key column links the parent from to the child form.
- Create an another NGauge from (child form) using the Child Datasource (Datasource contributing to the master Datasource) in Infoveave.
- Identify and assign a field as the same key column as in the parent NGauge form.
- Click on Customize Layout icon on the parent NGauge from.
- Drag and drop the Child Form component from the Component panel.
- From the Configuration Panel, select the associated child form from the drop down.
- Click on Save to add the Child form to the parent form.
- Click on the Add Icon associated with the parent form.
- You can see the parent form and the Child form in a single view.
- Start adding the data to the parent form and the associated Child form.
- Click on the Add button to add a new row to the child form.
- Click on Save to save the entered data. All the data entry in the parent and child forms are updated to related Datasource.
Add Data
Add data to the NGauge form to the continuous enrichment and relevance of your datasets. This ensures real-time updates, allowing for accurate analysis, reporting, and informed decision-making.
To add data in the NGauge form, follow these steps
- Click on the Add Data button.This action will redirect you to the customized view of the NGauge form, initiating the data entry process.
- Begin by entering the required data in the designated fields.The customized view provides a user-friendly interface for seamless data input.
- Optionally, if applicable, you can use a barcode reader to streamline the data entry process. This is particularly useful for efficiently capturing and entering data into the Child form.
