Introducing Targets and Thresholds

In Infoveave, targets and thresholds enable you to define the significant points in your data and provide notifications when a measure reaches a specific level. Target enables you to visualize the difference between the desired score and the actual measure of an indicator on a certain date. Thresholds define a normal range of measures for an indicator and alert you when certain events occur, such as when a measure reaches an all-time high or low.

Steps to Setup Targets and Thresholds

Access Targets & Thresholds

To create and set up a Target and Threshold based on your available Datasource, click on Automation Target and Thresholds.

All Targets and Thresholds, created by you or shared with you will be displayed under the tabs My Targets and Thresholds and Shared Targets and Thresholds respectively.

To formulate a fresh formula, click on New Target and Threshold.

Enter the Target and Threshold Name.

Tip

Targets and Thresholds with the Production tag indicate that they are linked to a workflow in production.

Select Datasource, Measures & Dimensions

Select the Datasource, associated measures, and dimensions for your Target and Threshold. This will assist you in aligning the Alerts with your requirements.

1. Select the Datasource you want to use from the drop-down list.
2. Select the required Measure, Dimensions from their respective list.
3. Select alert frequency for the date dimension such as years, quarters, months, weeks, or days.
4. After configuring all measures and dimensions, define their aggregation type as either sum or average.
5. Click on Save, to save Target & Threshold configuration.

Tip

Infoveave allows you to select up to Five dimensions for target and threshold.

Note

The fields to select the measures, dimensions, date and frequency appears only after selecting the Datasource. By default, Infoveave corresponding four alerts under the Alerts section, one for Target and three for Thresholds.

Download Target & Threshold Template.

Target and Threshold template serve as the foundation for your Target and Threshold values. The downloaded Target and Threshold template allows you to define your targets and thresholds values in the templates before uploading them back into Infoveave.

1. To define the Target and Threshold values, start by downloading the template.
2. Click on the Download icon , on the required Target and Threshold under Automation Target and Thresholds.The download template dialog box will appear showcasing the selected dimension values.
3. Select the date range based on the frequency you desire.
4. Choose between Percentage or Value of target based on the type of value you want to insert in the template.
5. Select the dimension(s) items for each dimension on which you want to apply the targets and thresholds.If you wish to select all available dimensions values, you can use the Select All option.
6. Click the Download button to download the template in .csv format.
7. Open the downloaded template and define the targets and three threshold values.The threshold values are represented as “Below”, “Average”, and “Above”, corresponding to Threshold_1, Threshold_2, and Threshold_3.

Upload Target & Threshold Template.

Uploading the Target & Threshold template back to Infoveave, allows you to bring the configured targets and thresholds back into Infoveave.

1. Click on the Upload Template icon to initiate the process.The upload template dialog box will appear for you to upload the configured template.
2. Browse your local storage and select the template file created in previously.
3. Confirm the upload, by clicking on the Data Upload button.The system will process the data for integration.you will receive a success notification on the upload of the template.
4. To verify the uploaded template and ensure it accurately reflects your target and threshold values, click on Edit Target & Threshold option.

Note

Alternatively, you can also download and upload the Target & Threshold template from the Edit Target & Threshold option. The upload will fail if the column names do not match the ones in the downloaded template.
